Preparing for Registration

Who should submit the registration? 

Determine who at your company will complete the registration and set-up steps. We will create a Company Admin user for the contact noted in the registration. The Company Admin user is the highest user permission level and will be responsible for creating additional users for the company. 

Please review all steps and the timeline carefully to assure the person designated to register has the capacity to complete registration and set-up steps on time. 

Do I register once as a company or register each single property? 

Identify if you need or prefer more than one account under your company. 

What to Know About Accounts:

  • A company can have one or more accounts to put their properties into. 
  • Properties in an account must be located in the same state. If your company operates in more than one state, you will need separate accounts for each state. 
  • The one-time set-up fees are charged per account, not property.
  • The monthly minimum billing is per account, not property.
  • Some companies prefer to have an individual account for each property. 

Here are some examples of different ways companies choose to structure their accounts:

Registration Form 

We are in the process of creating a specific registration form for the Application-Only product. In the meantime, you will be using our general ResidentIQ - TenantTech registration form. There are several fields that are unapplicable that you can skip (or select at random if it indicates its required before submitting). Below are the fields that ARE relevant and needed for your ResidentIQ Online Applications account(s). 

Important! Please use the note section to identify you are a "RIQ OLA customer" so we know to set up your account with the application-only version.

On the registration options, refer to the account type information above to help you determine which selection to make.

Apartment Community (aka multifamily property) = 1 Property in the Account

Single-Family Homes = More than 1 property in the Account (Doesn't necessarily need to be a Single-Family home as long as the properties are located in the same state)

There are some sections that will differ depending on the registration type you selected

On both registration types, the note and contact section will be the same. 

Reminder:  Carefully determine who will be the contact person, as they will be set up as the Company Admin user account and responsible for set-up process. 

After submitting the registration, you can use the same link to register more accounts, if applicable. Review the "Preparing for Registration" section above to determine if you need to register more accounts.

Next Steps... 

I've registered all accounts. Now what? 

Once the ResidentIQ team has created your account(s), you will receive a user login email and Onboarding Welcome email. The turnaround time is typically same day, however, please allow for 1-2 business days at most. Once you receive your user access email, please use the link to login and set a password. The link expires after 72 hrs. Follow the steps outlined in this guide to complete the set up.
