TenantTech provides you with many time-saving property management features. Many of these features can be customized to meet your specific business needs. To accomplish this, we need to spend some time configuring your TenantTech settings and this document provides instructions for the first step of that process.

You (the Company Admin) should have received your login credentials and have successfully gained access to the system. The settings that are highlighted in this document typically require some internal discussions with your team. Please follow these instructions to make the selections that best meet your business needs.

*Note: The information in this article is centered around the standard settings with Multifamily Northwest Forms. Other form settings may slightly differ. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact Customer Support at support@tenanttech.com.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:

For Multiple Property Accounts, any changes made or information entered in Account Settings will apply to all properties within the account. Changes made or information entered in Property Settings will apply only to that specific property.

Accessing Account Settings:

To access, click Account Settings in the top right menu, next to your username.

Now that you have accessed your Account Settings you can begin to manage the different settings found in the various settings categories (see below).

Account Settings Sections

OWNERS:

Allows you to see all the owners at all the properties in your account, and add, edit, or remove them from the entire account. To link owners with specific properties go to Residents >> Property Settings >> Owners.

ORDER OF FORMS:

Allows you to customize the order in which forms will print for ALL properties associated with the account.

PROSPECTS:

This is where you can add different traffic sources for your Prospect Guest Cards. To update, go to Account Settings (or) Property Settings >> Prospects.

Reminder: Any changes made or information entered in Account Settings will apply to all properties within the account. Changes made or information entered in Property Settings will apply only to that specific property.

UNIT INVENTORY:

Create custom items to show as options in Unit Inventory (Residents >> Properties/Units >> Select Unit >> Unit Inventory).

MISCELLANEOUS:

  • Input integration codes, if applicable (ie- Rent Manager, ResMan, Yardi).
  • Set Timezone
  • Mailbox Number: Set the mailbox to be unit or resident specific. The mailbox # shows on some forms (ie. M001 Rental Agreement).

FORMS:

You have the option to choose either the Account Name or the Property Name to appear on forms and documents.

You also have the option to choose what name (Account Name, Company Name, or Property name) will appear in the electronic signature for emails.

APPLICATION/SCREENING:

The first setting option you will see is the Screening Company setting. This allows you to select the screening company that you use. Companies with an asterisk (*) next to them are companies that are integrated with TenantTech.

Note: Selecting a screening company from the drop-down menu does not initiate service with that company. If you do not have a current account with the screening company you select, then you will need to contact that company to set up your service.

Next, you can select the settings that determine what units an applicant can see when they visit the online application page for each of the properties associated with the account.

Finally, at the bottom of the page, you will see the a check box that allows you to choose to show the address associated with the Property Marketing Name rather than property addresses on the generic Account page which lists all properties with vacancies. If you would like to enter or edit the Marketing Name, you may do that by going to Tools >>Properties >> Edit Additional Details.

REMINDERS
